Berezniki railway station sinkhole growing | ITAR-TASS

PERM, November 29 (Itar-Tass) — The traffic of trains and cars at the Berezniki railway station in the Perm Territory has been closed for a long time. A sinkhole near the station is growing every hour. If on the first day of the emergency subsidence in the area of carnallite rock excavation was 50 by 15 metres in size with a depth of 6 metres, then on Sunday the cave-in area increased to 52 by 33 metres with a depth of 15 metres. As of Monday morning, the underground surveying measurements showed that the initial hole has turned into a pit with the size 70 by 50 metres and a depth of 20 metres.
