(NEWS-PRESS) — Friends of former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens expressed concern that he might have been one of eight passengers aboard a small plane that crashed Monday evening near Dillingham, Alaska, the Anchorage Daily News reports.
An Alaska National Guard spokesman says there were possible fatalities aboard the plane owned by GCI, an Anchorage-based communications provider.
