NYT uses 'Cross Collage' of Obama to illustrate health care; but is there more to it?

The article below comes from today’s New York Times online. The illustration that accompanies the article is a deft collage of Obama, looking for all the world like a preacher on Sunday, overlaid by a cross and image of the White House. Yes, a simple cross does represent ‘health care’, but it also represents Christ’s redemptive act. We’ve been bombarded for two years now with the message that Obama is the ‘Savior’ of the geopolitical world, and with Easter approaching, the not so subtle imagery is but another beat on this reverberating drum. The article runs on ‘the Ides of March’ (3/15), the day the Senators rose up to sacrifice Julius Caesar, for the good of the Republic. Is a ‘sacrifice’ coming? — PID
