Brown, pink snow falls in Russia's South

(RIA NOVOSTI) — Unusually colored brown and pink snow appeared in Russia's southern Krasnodar Region, regional meteorologists said on Wednesday.

Regional meteorologists said that normal white snow had fallen first, but later it was replaced with rain which colored it in pinks and browns. Dust and sand brought by strong southern winds from Africa had apparently created the odd-colored snow in the region.
