June 5, 2009 — According to an article at ABC News, police in Utah are on the lookout for Daniel James Murray, who allegedly threatened the life of the US President.
The website, National Terror Alert reports that Murray is the registered owner of 8 guns. Murray, a New York resident, has been seen in Utah, and deposited an $85,000 check into a new account at a Utah bank, where he told the teller, “We are on a mission to kill the president of the United States.”
The same bank reports that Murray returned at a later date and tried to withdraw a sum just under $13,000. When told his identification was not in order, Murray is reported to have replied: “Not to be disrespectful, but if I don’t get this money, someone is going to die.”
Murray also is reported to have muttered odd references to the proximity of the earth to the sun and about “the eagle that flies between them”. He also said “the banking system will fail and people will die…There will be chaos in the world.”
Murray is wanted by the Secret Service for making charges against the President. His whereabouts are unknown at this time, but he is reported to have traveled to a number of US states, including Utah, California, and Texas.
One final tidbit came in just a few minutes ago via New York Daily News:
Wearing glasses and a scraggly beard, Murray was dressed in a black T-shirt with the words, “My way is the highway— God” emblazoned across the chest with a Christian cross sprouting wings, sources said.
There’s a disturbing ‘meme’ spreading throughout the media that Christians are dangerous. This story is adding fuel to that fire. We’ll be talking about this one on tonight’s PID Radio.
