Russia’s Putin, Ukraine’s Timoshenko Discuss Energy

Why is this important? Two reasons. 1) The US has placed missiles in Ukraine as part of the ‘defense shield’ and 2) Ukraine–though not yet an official NATO member–has ‘partnered’ with NATO for ten years, participating in every NATO action in that timeframe. If Russia keeps putting pressure on Ukraine, NATO might well get involved. — PID
