Most analog cellular to fade away on Monday

We can’t help connecting this to the DoD purchase of Iridium Satellite System back in 1999 or so. Old Kyocera and Motorola phones can access the network, perhaps hack into it. Even analog land lines phones can be used with Iridium (so we may see a ‘sunset’ to the use of analog hard-wired phones). Feb 14, 2008 (IDG NEWS) — You may think of sunsets as something nice to look at, but if you have an older cell phone or a home alarm system, there’s one coming up on Monday that may not be so pretty.
