January 14, 2008 (AFP) — A director who shares the ideas of Iran’s hardline president has produced what he says is the first film giving an Islamic view of Jesus Christ, in a bid to show the “common ground” between Muslims and Christians.
Nader Talebzadeh sees his movie, “Jesus, the Spirit of God,” as an Islamic answer to Western productions like Mel Gibson’s 2004 blockbuster “The Passion of the Christ,” which he praised as admirable but quite simply “wrong”. Full Report
‘For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].’ – 2 Cor. 11:4
Ahmadinejad and the Shiite faithful want Christians to believe we all worship the same Jesus. That simply is not true. You can bet though, that there will soon arise a heresy that espouses such nonsense. This may be the ‘falling away’ Paul spoke of in 2 Thess. (Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;).
Cling to that which you KNOW to be true. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was sacrificed upon a Roman cross, and rose again. He now sits at the right hand of the Father, and He will return again — very soon for His Bride, the Church. Maranatha! — PID
